His real name is Benigno Dungo Perez and he is 29 years old hailing from Concepcion, Tarlac. He was among the winners of 2017 Misters of Filipinas pageant and later on crowned as Mister Universe Tourism. His victories in pageants led him to wider modelling opportunities until he made it to “Its Showtime”.
Perez is the 11th of 15 siblings with his father a jeepney driver and his mother a kakanin vendor. They are quite a big family indeed. According to some of his interviews from the past, he was bullied when he was younger because of his lanky frame. Instead of sulking, he made those criticisms his inspiration to get fit and take care of himself.
And by developing his muscles, he accordingly used this as a tactic to attract customers as his parents used to sell poultry products in a wet market. He was hesitant at first to join pageants but his manager, seeing the potential in him, pushed him and he is now a famous personality in the country.
It was year 2018 when he first appeared in Showtime but even before he got to work with Vice, they already met in “Gandang Gabi Vice”.
