Here’s reason why there are Chinese help desks in various local police stations.

CHINESE HELP DESKS – This is the reason why Chinese help desks are established in various local police stations in the country.

Many people have been asking and wondered why there have been placed Chinese help desks in different police stations nationwide. This is obviously dedicated for the Chinese nationals in the country but why were these installed and established?

This initiative have already been planned by the Philippine National Police (PNP) out since January to focus on crimes reportedly perpetrated by Chinese nationals such as kidnapping and among others. This particular help desk will receive Chinese-linked complaints and which will also go under investigation.

The establishment of this help desks started early as February put up in several local police stations. The Natividad Police Station in Pangasinan, as per Interaksyon, was installed for coronavirus disease.

Accordingly, there have been 38 casino-related kidnap-for-ransom cases recorded by the PNP last 2019 with the involvement of Chinese nationals. Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, PNP spokesman, said that Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) has also plans to send some of their cops to China to learn their language, the Mandarin.

Banac stated, “Isa lamang ang tututok, hahawak, mag momonitor, at tatanggap ng mga reklamo at mag follow-up ng mga insidente involving Chinese nationals.”

To recall, last December 2019, a terrifying video has circulated online showing a Chinese woman being taken away along Paseo de Roxas Avenue in Makati City wherein many people have witnessed. The woman was later on identified as Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGO) employee. As much as we are all aware of, there are certain controversial issues between our country and China.
