MGCQ In Negros Occidental Province Extended Until End Of June

MGCQ IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – The modified community quarantine (MGCQ) in Negros Occidental will be extended until June 30, 2020.

The province’s governor Eugenio Jose Lacson recently signed Executive Order No.20-26, Series of 2020, on Monday (June 15), which extends the duration of MGCQ over the western province of Negros, according to SunStar.

In his EO, locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from the island of Cebu shall only be allowed to enter the government port in Danao, Escalante City.

The admission of returning LSIs from Ceu shall be in accordance to the admission capacity of the Provincial Covid-19 isolation facility in Cadiz City.

The provincial government shall further recommend the Maritime Industry Authority, Philippine Ports Authority and the Philippine Coast Guard for admission capacity.

Passengers arriving from the said island shall undergo mandatory reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction or RT-PCR test. They will also undergo mandatory government quarantine until their negative results come out.

The province of Cebu is now classified under the high-risk area for Coronavvirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) by the National Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Based on the report, all LSIs from the capital Metro Manila shall also undergo mandatory RT-PCR test and shall be picked up by the local government units where they reside.

The same goes for LSIs from Iloilo province and shall undergo strict home quarantine pending results.
