Poor Old Man Do Not Eat Just To Save More Money To Feed His Mom & Sick Sister After Losing Job
A poor old man staves himself just to feed his 93-year-old mother and sick sister after losing his job due to coronavirus pandemic.
The Facebook page “Hopes In Meals” has shared the heartbreaking photos of a poor man who sacrificed to fill his empty stomach just to feed his mom and sister. The photos garnered various reactions from the online community.
The unidentified man is already looking pale as he tried his best to save money on meals and not eating so he could save more for his family. He usually drinks a lot of water to sustain hunger.
Uncle usually take more rest whenever he feels weak or giddy due to hunger. He lost his job as a dishwasher after the restaurant he is working with closed down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The elderly is collecting cupboard papers and cans to earn money but he can’t sell them until last Tuesday (June 2). He also sends the government’s cash aid he received to his sister to take care of his mom.

“Uncle lost his job as a dishwasher due to covid19, he was found to have starved himself due to financial difficulties for a long time and looking pale at the bus stop for a few days before his kind neighbour alerted us of his case. He is resorting to collecting cans and cupboard paper now but he’s unable to sell them until 2nd of June. We asked uncle his story on why he’s unable to pay for his food despite the recent govt cash payout and if he’s under any grant, uncle replied that he has a 93 year old mother and sister that is sick. The money he received from payouts have all been pass to his sister to take care of the mother. He tries his best to save money on meals and at many times resort to not eating so he can save more money to pass to his mother. Uncle says at times he will just drink more water to sustain the hunger or take more rest when he feels giddy or weak.
A cost of a meal is simple for us, but for many other elderly and families, it’s hard to even sustain 1 meal a day. It got us ashamed and we have decided to continue the meals programme. “ If we can’t help a hundred, why not start with one. “
This is a new platform and campaign that we have launched to step up and serve our part in the long term terms prospect to help the ones in need. If you can please donate a meal to the ones in need or join us as a volunteer and ensure no one goes hungry again.”
