How true is it that Ang Probinsyano actor Coco Martin loses an endorsement deal after he ranted about the ABS-CBN franchise issue?
Coco’s strong words to defend his home network amid its signing off due to the cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission received various reactions.
Some lauded him for standing up of the giant TV network against its critics and against those who have been pushing for its closure. On the other hand, some also criticized him for overreacting without understanding the issue. He was also bashed for stating that he is now worried about what to feed to his family after the shutting down of ABS-CBN.
After that Laban Kapamilya Facebook Live, Coco went silent even on his social media accounts. Based on the article by columnist Ambet Nabus in Abante Entertainment, the said rant of the Kapamilya actor had a negative result in his career.

According to Nabus, the camp of the actor is busy right now in order to get support for the decline of his popularity. Aside from this, the columnist also stated in his article that a big endorsement backed out.
It was said that Coco Martin was supposed to do a “big summer product launch”, however, allegedly this will turn out to “wala” because the client was turned off by his rant on social media.
Prior to that controversial statement of Coco during the said FB Live, he has several Instagram post also attacking the critics of ABS-CBN.
