Bacolod City Village Fire Left With Woman Dead
BACOLOD CITY – A woman recently died of suffocation in a fire which occurred in a barangay in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
According to the official page of TV Patrol Negros, the the incident happened in Lumboy Street, Capitol Heights Subdivision, Barangay Villamonte in the city at 6 AM morning.
Fire Marshall Fire Chief Inspector Publio Plotenta reported that the woman ws able to head out of her burning house.
However, she decided to return to the house after remembering that she left her pet dog.
Ptolena added that she was unable to leave her house and was eventually found her lifeless body in the bathroom.
The victim did not receive any wounds upon inspection of her body and was deduced to have died from suffocation due to the smoke.
As per the report, the volunteers from CHAMBER were able to rescue her dog.
Initial probe from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) shows that the fire started by an object that is electrical in nature in the ceiling of the house owned by a certain Zacheo Mirasol.
Ptolena said that the fire was extinguished after 30 minutes.
