Patient Suspected for COVID-19 in CARAGA Dies Prior To Test Result Releasing
PATIENT SUSPECTED FOR COVID-19 – A patient in CARAGA who was tested for coronavirus died before the release of his test result.
Sadly, Philippines is one of the countries struggling against the impact of coronavirus outbreak now. Community quarantines have to be implemented to prevent the spread of the disease.
While the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) are imposed, a lot of people lost their monthly income. It is because several non-essential businesses that can perform on a work-from-home basis temporarily stopped their operation.
Meanwhile, the government provided food and cash assistance to some parts of the population. The poorest of the poor were given cash aid under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 10,463 cases of coronavirus confirmed in the Philippines. Out of this total number, 696 patients died during their battle while 1,734 have recovered from the disease.
Unfortunately, there were several instances when patients died before the results of this coronavirus test were released. Recently, it took place in CARAGA.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the 33-year-old patient suspected for COVID-19 was suffering from fever and respiratory problems. He died while being treated at the Caraga Regional Hospital.
According to the hospital’s chief, Dr. Cheryl Gotinga, the patient died 14 hours after he was admitted. He is from Surigao City in Surigao del Norte.
According to the report, the patient has no travel history. Dr. Gotinga reminds the public to continue staying vigilant amid these times of health crisis.
The swab test results of the patient has yet to be released. More updates may be posted soon.
