Drug Suspect Fled Amid Operation In Dauis Town, Bohol
DAUIS TOWN – A man suspected to be selling illegal drugs in Dauis town, Bohol fled away during an anti-drug operation conducted by the cops.
However, the cops were able to arrest his live-in partner, according to a report from Bohol Chronicles.
Police conduced a buy-bust operation in against the said suspect, identified as Niño Rey “Bolantoy” Araneta, aged 35.
Araneta escaped the operation Barangay Mayacabac after he, as well as his partner, identified as Vivien Cabanes, aged 36, realized that they were about to get arrested.
Authorities were unable to catch Araneta but Cabanes was left behind and got caught by the police.
Police reports show that the couple was dealing drugs near the barangay covered court and hall where officials were distributing aid to residents under SAP.
This urged the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Dauis Police Station to conduct an operation spearheaded by local municipal police chief Captain Andy Corpus.
As per the report, Cabales is under police custody while Araneta is still on the run.
They will both be charged for violating Republic Act Np.9165 or also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
