Heartbreaking Photos of Disabled Man Asking For Food Along the Street Goes Viral
A disabled man asking for food along the street in Kalibo, Aklan received help and cash assistance from kind-hearted people.
The Facebook page Project Kalibo has shared the heartbreaking photos of a disabled man who is asking for food beside the road due to extreme poverty. The photos garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the photos, it can be seen that the poor man has no legs and holding a poster saying “Pahenge nang pagkaen”. The PWD is surely living under the line of poverty and earns nothing especially during this quarantine period.
Project Kalibo decided to make a move after seeing the disabled guy and announced that they would shoulder the mean of the old man until the end of quarantine. Aside from free food, the group gives cash aid to the old man.
The group decided to give P6,000 cash assistance towards Tatay Andres so he could buy medicines and to pay his electric bills.

“Aside po sa meals at food packs na ibinigay kaninang umaga, personal pong pinuntahan ng Project KALIBO si Tatay Andres para ibigay ang PHP 6,000.00 na nalikom ng organisasyon mula sa mga donors na gusto ring tulungan si tatay.
Sinadya po naming cash ang ibigay namin para magamit ni tatay sa iba pa niyang pangangailangan kagaya ng pagbayad ng kuryente at pagbili ng gamot.
Maraming salamat din po sa mga tumulong kay tatay. Umaapaw po ang blessings na natatanggap niya sa kaniyang bahay/shop malapit sa FUS.
