Update on the Philippine Coronavirus Cases Increase Today (April 21)
PHILIPPINE CORONAVIRUS CASES – The total cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the Philippines rose by 140 today, April 21.
Currently, there are over 200 countries across the globe suffering from coronavirus impacts. One of these nations with confirmed cases of COVID-19 is the Philippines.
For several days now, the entire Luzon and most parts of Visayas and Mindanao in the Philippines are under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). The people are advised to stay at home to stop the spread of the infection.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has also declared a state of calamity in the entire Philippines. Most companies temporarily suspended work as part of the fight against coronavirus.
Every day, the Department of Health (DOH) gives an update on the coronavirus cases in the Philippines. According to the health department, today, April 21, the total count increased by 140 and is now at 6,599.
Unfortunately, 9 new deaths were recorded bringing the total to 437. On the positive side, there are 41 new recoveries bringing the total to recoveries to 654 according to the health department.
The fight against coronavirus continues. Pres. Duterte is willing to give a P10-million reward to any Filipino who can discover a vaccine for COVID-19.
Amid the ECQ, the government is releasing funds to help the people cope with their expenses. Many Filipinos lost their monthly income most especially those who are on a no-work-no-pay basis and their companies temporarily stopped operations.
