Eman Bacosa Pacquiao is making his own name in boxing
Emerging boxer Eman Bacosa Pacquiao shared that in his boxing career, he wanted to reach these goals.
The son of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is one of the rising professional boxers nowadays. His father carved a path for Filipinos to be known in the field of boxing in the whole world.
Manny’s track as an athlete is something that young boxers have aspired to achieve, and one of them is his own son, Eman.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Eman Bacosa said that he aims to clinch a world title and serve as an inspiration to the Filipino youth.
“Siyempre to become a world champion, to become a great boxer na ina-admire ng mga kabataan. From no one to someone, parang ganoon,” he said.
He stressed that his main focus remains on his boxing career, even though he has already started venturing into showbiz and endorsement projects. It was reported that he will be part of the Kapuso series Never Say Die, as he is now a signed contract artist of Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
“My priority right now is professional boxing. Mga ganito ganyan (endorsement), ‘yung sa show business ay kapag wala pa akong laban,” the young boxer said.
He also shared during the interview that he is enjoying her experience in acting despite the nervousness he feels, with the realization that this endeavor is not easy after all.
When it comes to balancing his life as a boxer and showbiz personality, Eman said that when he is in boxing, his whole focus would only be there, and he would shift his focus if he is doing endorsement or acting projects.
The rising boxer also shared that he will soon have a training session with his father for his next fight this year. “Kaya abangan niyo na lang po,” he teased.
In the same interview, he also opened up about his relationship with his father. Eman Bacosa shared that Manny Pacquiao advised him to stay disciplined when he is doing his training, having the right food intake, and the right amount of sleep.
When asked how he could stay away from the shadow of his father, who is a boxing legend, Eman said, “They will know the difference because Manny Pacquiao is Manny Pacquiao. Eman Bacosa Pacquiao is Eman Bacosa Pacquiao. In terms of being godly, we are both the same in faith. We are both loving.”
