Update on DOH Records on COVID-19 Cases in PH
DOH – The Department of Health recorded 207 new cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 in the Philippines today, April 16.
Currently, the entire Luzon is under an enhanced community quarantine. It is due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the Philippines.
Officially called as COVID-19, this pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization has infected over 2 million people across the globe now. Also, it has claimed over 130,000 lives.
In the Philippines, not only Luzon but as well as several parts of Visayas and Mindanao are implementing precautionary measures against COVID-19. There are also confirmed cases in the two (2) regions although most cases were recorded in Luzon.
The Department of Health (DOH) releases a daily update on the COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. For today, April 16, 207 new cases of coronavirus were recorded according to the health department.
The recent addition on the coronavirus cases in the Philippines brings the total to 5,660. The death toll now is 362 after 13 new deaths were recorded in the country.
On the positive side, 82 patients recently recovered from the disease. It brings the total recoveries to 435 now.
