Update on the Philippine Coronavirus Cases Amid the Disease’s Outbreak

PHILIPPINE CORONAVIRUS CASES – The Department of Health (DOH) reported 230 new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines.

The Philippines is one of the countries dealing with the impacts of the coronavirus outbreak. The said disease was first recorded in Wuhan City, China back in December 2019.

Sadly, it became a pandemic as its effects went beyond the expectations. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), battling against coronavirus is a long-term fight.

Currently, the total confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded across the globe has reached nearly two (2) million people. Out of this number, more than 120,000 lost their battle against the disease.

Philippine Coronavirus Cases

In the Philippines, the whole of Luzon and several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao now are under an enhanced community quarantine. The authorities also advise the people to stay at home to prevent the spread of the infection.

Based on the recent update from the Department of Health (DOH), the Philippine coronavirus cases have climbed by 230 today, April 15, 2020. It brings the total cases to 5,453.

Fourteen (14) new deaths were recorded bringing the death toll to 349. According to the health department, there is now a total of 353 coronavirus recoveries in the Philippines now after 58 new recoveries were recorded today.
