Inspiring Photos of Generous Teacher Giving Relief Goods to Less-Fortunate Neighbors Goes Viral
A generous teacher in Quezon City earns praises from the online community after giving relief goods to her less-fortunate neighbors.
The Facebook page “DepEd Philippines” has shared the photos of a generous teacher identified as Jennifer Salcedo of Maligaya Elementary School in Quezon City showing kindness to the needy amid health crisis.
In the photos, it can be seen that Ma’am Salcedo is distributing relief goods to poor families whose livelihoods were affected by the implementation of enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.
The teacher together with her sister-in-law and children are just continuing their family tradition, which is helping the less-fortunate in times of need. Her children were holding a placard with words written: “Social Distancing” and “Ugaliing mag-hugas ng kamay”.
“Ang kahulugan po nito para sa akin ay ang pagmamahal sa kapwa, pagpapakita ng malasakit, at pagiging matulungin at mapagbigay nang hindi naghihintay ng anumang kapalit,” Teacher Jennifer said.
The kind educator has been distributing relief goods since the entire Luzon has been placed under an enhanced community quarantine. Salcedo’s husband is an Overseas Filipino Worker and she described him as a hardworking man.
“We share the blessings kasi alam po namin ng mister ko ang pakiramdam nang walang-wala, kaya rin siya nagpupursige sa abroad,” Salcedo added.
The social media users lauded the generous teacher for her love and kindness towards others:
