These Philippine senators have these reactions to challenge of Mayor Isko Moreno.

ISKO MORENO – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno dares Philippine senators to show up and this has earned several reactions from these senators.

In his last address, Mayor Isko Moreno of Manila called out the country’s national leaders, whether an opposition or not, to go together to help the people amid the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. He also challenged them to donate their salary and use all their resources to fight the malevolent virus.

With this, Philippine senators such as Bong Revilla, Ping Lacson, and Senate President Tito Sotto reacted to this. Lacson said that his fellow lawmakers have been busy passing the law to combat the COVID-19 and he was not clearly pleased at all when the mayor called them out.

Also, Sotto stressed in his response that they are helping without the public acknowledgement. He added, “We did so in 18 hrs. it’s not our mandate to repack rice and sardines with a complete PR team around us. Some of us do, WITHOUT the PR team!”

Revilla, on his part, shared the donations he made utilizing his connections and was also not pleased with what Yorme has done. He said, “Sana naman huwag ganun. Magkaibigan tayo Yorme.
