Video of Workers Choosing Residents Who Will Receive Relief Goods Elicits Comments Online
Several workers were caught on camera choosing the residents who will receive relief goods amid the health crisis in the country.
Over the past few months, the coronavirus disease has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. The virus has already affected thousands of people worldwide.
A lot of countries including the Philippines are already taking immediate action and have implemented precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The entire Luzon and some parts of the country have been placed under an enhanced community quarantine.
The local government units are already distributing relief goods to the poor Filipinos while the Duterte administration is already processing the financial assistance for displaced workers.
Recently, the Facebook page “Pinoy Trending News” has shared the video footage of several workers who were allegedly choosing residents they will give relief goods. the video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that the workers supposed to give relief goods to some resident but they pulled out after learning that they are delivering it to “wrong address”. The residents were urging the workers to give the food supplies.
