Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi are working for the first time in a series, and here’s what they said about working together.
“Love Is Never Gone,” starring Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi, is a series to be released on Prime Video next month, premiering exclusively on May 8. The romance drama produced by ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment is the first Filipino series to be shot and set in Morocco. This is the same country where Ivana’s father is from.
Joshua plays Teo, who falls victim to Ivana’s Yana, a thief also known as “Chameleon” who steals in order to care for her sickly mother.
Also starring in the series are Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, and Dina Bonnevie. Veteran television director Emmanuel “Manny” Palo and Jojo Saguin will direct the series.
Palo also directed “Tanging Yaman,” “Ikaw Lamang,” “The General’s Daughter,” “Kambal sa Uma,” “Nathaniel,” “The Good Son” and “Unbreak My Heart.”
Meanwhile, Saguin helmed “On the Wings of Love,” “May Bukas Pa,” “Mutya,” “Walang Hanggan,” “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” “Mirabella,” and, recently for Prime Video, “Linlang” and “The Alibi.”
The lead actors spoke about their series. According to the actor, they are excited to share the story with the viewers and, at the same time, share with them the beauty of Morocco.
Meanwhile, Ivana is saying that their new series will stand out from their past projects because it’s more intense and exciting. It will have a mix of action, romance, and bold scenes, making it something viewers should look forward to.
“As you can see, it’s very hot. And of course, it’s full of action. It’s full of love. And it’s very different so it’s really a teleserye to watch out for,” she said.
