Kim Atienza showed how a celebrity can affect someone’s life
Kapuso veteran host Kim Atienza believes that celebrities can save the lives of other people, especially online.
Kuya Kim has become the face of mental health advocacy after the death of his daughter, the late content creator Emman Atienza.
The young celebrity had been very vocal about her mental health struggles while advocating awareness and talking about the dilemmas.

In recent months, Kuya Kim Atienza has found his new purpose. He has been helping the younger generation in dealing with their mental health struggles. With this, many people praised the veteran TV host for using his platform to continue his daughter’s advocacy.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Kuya Kim shared that he would always comment on social media posts about depression and mental health issues.
“I know that as a celebrity, one small word can actually save a life, e. ‘Kumusta ka na diyan? OK ka lang?’ Ganun lang yun, ganun lang yun. Madalas akong nagko-comment diyan, e, lalo na sa Threads,” Kuya Kim said.
Then, he shared that netizens on Threads, especially the younger generation, are very vocal. He recalled his comment to a netizen who posted, “Mama, Papa, hindi ko na po kaya. Sorry po.”

The veteran host replied with an invitation for the netizen. He told the netizen to go to his Kapuso talk show, TiktoClock. Kuya Kim shared that he was surprised by the number of comments that this post received.
“Paggising ko kinabukasan, there were 4,800 — not likes, ha — comments. Not only from Filipinos but all over the world, offering little acts of kindness,” he shared.
Then, eventually, this was reported on the Kapuso primetime news program 24 Oras. He could not believe that just one single comment could create this kind of wave.
“But you can see, a little act of kindness goes a long way… pumunta sa Tiktoclock. So that Wednesday, pumunta sa Tiktoclock. I met him. I met his mom,” Kuya Kim Atienza said.
