Update on the Coronavirus Cases of the Different Countries Across the Globe Amid Pandemic

COUNTRIES – Four (4) nations have recorded over 100,000 coronavirus cases each amid the global pandemic.

Now, several countries are fighting against the rapid spread of a pandemic – the COVID-19 or initially called as the 2019 novel coronavirus. This new strain of coronavirus was first recorded in China.

China locked down Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus, for several weeks. Over 81,000 people in China were infected of the disease and at least 3,300 died.

The COVID-19’s impact has gone beyond what was expected of it. It urged nations to lock down borders in the pursuit to contain its spread. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is going to be a longterm battle.

Currently, there is a total of 1,270,756 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the different nations according to a tally of Worldometer. It was after nearly 70,000 cases were recorded in just 24 hours.

With regards to the global coronavirus death toll, 4,686 new COVID-19 deaths were recently recorded. It brings the total to 69,376 now. Over 261,000 patients have recovered.

Based on the global tally, four (4) countries have recorded over 100,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus now. They are the United States, Spain, Italy, and Germany.

U.S. is the country with the most number of COVID-19 cases while Italy records the highest death toll. The latter recorded hundreds of deaths daily due to coronavirus for several days now. Based on the tally, here are the total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the four (4) countries now:

  • United States – 336,085
  • Spain – 131,646
  • Italy – 128,948
  • Germany – 100,123
