Hospital Staff in Marinduque Use Disposable Ponchos as thier PPE
Hospital staff from the province of Marinduque use disposable ponchos as they wait for the arrival of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Recently, on a Facebook page of Gov. Presby Velasco, Province of Marinduque shares some medical staff who is wearing personal temporary ponchos as a replacement to personal protective equipment (PPE). The representatives of Torrijos Municipal hospital fits the donated ponchos.
According to the post, “These ponchos are donated by the private sector to the Provincial Administrator Office and are being used while we await for the official PPEs.”
Ponchos and gears were also given to Marinduque frontliners including members of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Provincial Health Office (PHO), Marinduque Provincial Hospital (MPH) and Marinduque Animal & Wildlife Rescue.
The Department of Health (DOH) has announced that the first batch of one million personal protective equipment (PPE) has been distributed to referral hospitals in Central Luzon. Meanwhile, the remaining 985,000 sets are expected to arrive between April 6 and 24.
In a report of GMA News, the first batch was distributed at East Avenue Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, Philippine General Hospital, Dr Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center.
