Update on the Total Coronavirus Cases in Italy Now Amid the Outbreak

TOTAL CORONAVIRUS CASES IN ITALY – The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Italy has exceeded 100,000 now.

The United States, Italy, and Spain are among the countries with the most number of COVID-19 cases across the globe. It is in Wuhan City, China where the said disease was first recorded.

It is a new strain of coronavirus. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared it as pandemic as its impact went far beyond what was expected. It has caused nations to lock down their borders.

One of the countries that locked down their borders is Italy. It was the first country to surpass the records of coronavirus infection in China, the first epicenter of the virus.

Currently, the United States is the country with the most cases of COVID-19 but the total coronavirus cases in Italy is way past China as well. It is the country with the most number of coronavirus deaths.

Based on a global tally of Worldometer, the total coronavirus cases in Italy now is 101,739 after over 4,000 new COVID-19 cases were recently recorded. Over 800 new deaths were also recorded bringing the total to 11,591.

Currently, Italy is still under a total lockdown. The Italian government has already sought the help of the military in enhancing the lockdown as they record hundreds of deaths due to COVID-19 daily.

Also, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte ordered non-essential businesses to stop their operation. Only the food stores, the pharmacies, and the other businesses that provide the necessities of the people are allowed to operate.
