Negros Occidental – 8 Patients in Bacolod Investigated for Possible COVID-19 Infection

PATIENTS IN BACOLOD – Eight (8) persons in Bacolod, Negros Occidental are now under investigation over possible COVID-19 infection.

Currently, the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19 is causing alarm to several countries across the globe. It has left China, where it was first recorded, and Italy under outbreaks that took thousands of lives.

Philippines is one of the nations with confirmed cases of coronavirus. According to the Department of Health (DOH) there is now a total of 636 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country.

One of the confirmed cases of coronavirus in PH is in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. Based on a recent report from TV Patrol News, there are eight (8) patients in Bacolod now who are under investigation for possible COVID-19 infection.

These patients include a 27-year-old young woman who had an exposure with the coronavirus patient according to Bacolod Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19 Spokesperson Dr. Grace Tan.

Based on the post, two (2) other patients in Bacolod are also under investigation for possible COVID-19 infection following an exposure with the 56-year-old man who tested positive for coronavirus.

The eight (8) patients are placed under isolation. They are all Filipinos – six (6) of them are male and two (2) are female. They are all in stable condition according to Dr. Tan. There are now 1,614 persons under monitoring.

Nationwide, the coronavirus death toll is 38. According to the health department, 26 of the COVID-19 patients in the country have already recovered.
