VICKY MORALES – One of the most respected GMA reporters Vicky Morales goes viral after showing frustration over Koko Pimentel’s COVID issue.
In a previous article, Philippine Senator Aquilino Pimentel III tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019. From the senate, the official to have contracted the virus first was Sen. Migz Zubiri. Pimentel’s swab for testing was taken last March 20, 2020, and his results came in last night which showed that he is positive.
And as he was positive, he accordingly accompanied his pregnant wife to Makati Medical Center (MMC). He was at the hospital when he found he was positive and based on health protocols, if one person shows symptoms of the viral disease, he or she must go under self-quarantine for 14 days. This is regardless of one’s situation or position as the virus attacks anyone and highly contagious.
Thus, MMC medical director Dr Saturnino Javier, not mincing any words against the senator, denounces his “irresponsible and reckless” behavior which added to the burden of the medical institution as they try to cope with the challenges of the virus.
And now, probably just as frustrated as the MMC director, Vicky Morales also held no bars roasting the issue of the senator for going out on public places, specifically hospital, and infected staff which will surely affect their medical workforce. Those who got in contact with him must also be placed under quarantine including the personnel.
GMA reporter expressed, “Doc, medyo nakakagalit, nakaka-lungkot itong nangyari sa hanay ng mga health workers sa Makati Medical Center. I can just imagine siguro umu-usok yung mga chat group ng mga doktor sa mga sandaling ito.”
