Taguig Coronavirus Update: 12 Residents Test Positive with 55 PUIs

TAGUIG CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – Here’s an update about the coronaviruse confirmed cases and persons under investigation in Taguig City.

With the rising number of infected people of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines, the city government of Taguig on Sunday evening reported twelve (12) of their residents tested positive for the pandemic disease. Six of them, basically half of the indicated number, were from Brgy. Fort Bonifacio, two (2) from Upper Bicutan, and one each from the barangays of Bambang, Ususan, Central Signal, and Maharlika Village.

Also, there are 55 persons under investigation (PUIs) and eight (8) were marked as persons under monitoring (PUMs). 61 persons have finished the 14-day quarantine, thus, released by the city’s health authorities. Resident were urged to cooperate and abide health protocols in order to contain the spread of the virus and the city will conduct disinfection to areas where PUIs and PUMs have frequently been.

The PUIs and PUMs are under close monitoring if ever they exhibit symptoms similar to that of a flu. And to the areas with no PUMs or PUIs yet, the city government advise them to observe and immediately report possible cases. To keep their barangay safe from COVID, people are encouraged to strict hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and social distancing.

According to the latest bulletin, there are now 380 confirmed cases, as of Saturday night, 17 recoveries, and 25 death related to the virus.
