Italy Coronavirus Death Toll Gets 651 New Addition Amid Lockdown

ITALY CORONAVIRUS DEATH TOLL – The Italian authorities recorded 651 new deaths due to COVID-19 in just one (1) day.

Currently, several countries got healthcare systems that are shaking due to the impact of the 2019 coronavirus or COVID-19. One of these is Italy‘s which has one of the best healthcare systems across the globe.

More than 2,600 of the medical staff in the country contracted COVID-19 while treating patients. The Italian government has already sought the help of the military to enforce the lockdown.

Initially, only the Lombardy region, the epicenter of coronavirus in Italy, and 14 provinces were covered by the partial lockdown. However, the cases of COVID-19 in the country continued to increase in numbers.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte extended the lockdown covering the entire nation. He also ordered non-essential businesses to stop their operation. Only those essential ones like the grocery stores are allowed to operate.

For several days now, the Italy coronavirus death toll continued to increase in hundreds. Recently, based on Al Jazeera, it recorded 651 new deaths due to COVID-19 bringing the total to 5,476.
