Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards showed support for Kapuso couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo.
Jennylyn became a trending topic on social media these past few days after her former partner, actor Patrick Garcia, broke his 18-year silence on the issue between them.
Patrick stressed that her daughter Michelle encouraged him to speak about his past with Jennylyn, which also involved their son Jazz, because of the bashing that the young celebrity has been receiving.
Even though Jennylyn Mercado, through her management team, said in a statement that she will no longer speak about this matter, her husband, Dennis Trillo, had several intriguing, amusing, and meaningful posts on social media amid this issue.
It seems clear that Alden Richards is supporting the DenJen couple amidst the heated issue involving them and Patrick Garcia.
Instead of issuing a lengthy statement, the Asia’s Multimedia Star showed his support for the couple through a simple post on his Instagram Story.
Alden reshared a Facebook post by Dennis that stated...“Hindi ako pabor sa bashing, pero salamat at naalala mo si Jazz dahil sa pag-bash sa anak mo. O spread LOVE not Hate.”
Even though Dennis did not mention Patrick’s name in his post, it was netizens linked this to the latter’s statements regarding his history with Jennylyn and their son, Alex Jazz.
Included in the post was also Dennis Trillo’s meaningful remark: “Wag maghugas ng kamay sa kanal.”
Alden Richards didn’t add any explanation to his repost, but for DenJen supporters, the act of sharing was enough to show that he stands with Jennylyn and Dennis amidst the ongoing controversy.
Consequently, Alden’s Instagram Stories quickly circulated among fans, delighting the couple’s supporters.
For some fans, it was a fantastic gesture of support from the Kapuso star toward his fellow artists as the issue continued to heat up on social media.
