LTFRB Declares Work Suspension for Friday (March 13)

The LTFRB announced work suspension for Friday (March 13, 2020) due to the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019.

The coronavirus disease 2019 continues to spread in different regions all around the world and affects thousands of people. The virus becomes a health scare, which is causing fear and panic to the public.

The Philippine government and various sectors are already implementing precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the disease. Schools and government offices have suspended their operations due to the virus.

Recently, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has suspended the work in all of its offices for Friday (March 13) as a precautionary measure against the new coronavirus outbreak.

“This is a precautionary measure against the further spread of the virus as confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Official government transactions related to the agency may be accomplished on Monday, 16 March 2020,” LTFRB said in a statement.

The agency also reminded their personnel, operators, drivers, and passengers to observe proper hygiene including regular washing of hands. It also advised the public to boost their immune system.
