Supergirl Star Melissa Benoist Reveals Pregnancy on Social Media
SUPERGIRL – The 31-year-old Supergirl actress, Melissa Benoist, announced she is expecting her first child with her husband Chris Wood.
American actress Melissa Marie Benoist is known for portraying the titular character in DC Comics superhero ‘Supergirl.’ The hit fantasy series first aired on October 26, 2015.
The 31-year-old celebrity has gathered countless fans in different countries including the Philippines. Because of their fondness to the actress, they want to keep tabs on her.
Melissa Benoist tied the knot with actor Chris Wood last September 2019. The celebrity couple took to their respective Instagram accounts to announce that they are expecting their first child together.
On Wednesday, Melissa announced her pregnancy by sharing a photo of herself smiling while holding a cute long-sleeved baby shirt. Meanwhile, her husband looks very excited while carrying one of their dogs. She also jokingly shared a photo of her hugging Chris from behind, who’s obviously sporting a fake baby bump.
In the caption of the post, she wrote: “A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon!!! @christophrwood has always been an old dad by nature but now he’s going to be a real one!”
Meanwhile, Chris Wood uploaded the same photos on his IG account. It came with a caption, “The photo is a joke but the news is real…!!!”
Melissa Benoist and the 31-year-old actor met on the set of her tv series ‘Supergirl’ in 2016 when he was cast as inter-stellar frat boy Mon-El, the love interest of Melissa’s character, Kara, from seasons 2 and 3.
Wood also stars in several hit series including “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Flash,” “Legacies,” and “Mercy Street” among others.
