Currently, more than 100 people in the Philippines are being strictly monitored for possible novel coronavirus infection. The Chinese who went positive for nCoV had visited Cebu, Bohol, and Dumaguete before they were hospitalized.

The first coronavirus patient in the country is now confined in San Lazaro Hospital in Manila. The 3rd patient, a 60-year-old Chinese national, has already left for China.

Recently, there are rumors that Las Piñas City has locked down a hospital due to an nCoV patient. In a statement posted on Facebook, Mayor Mel Aguilar clarified that it is not true that the Las Piñas Doctors Hospital (LPDH) is closed due to a coronavirus patient.

In the statement, it is stated that there is still no record of a coronavirus case in the city. The people are requested to be responsible in sharing news on social media about the said disease.
