Ivana Alawi made her followers so excited once again
Following her controversial iPhone giveaways, Kapamilya actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi has another giveaway in store for her followers.
To recall, she went viral after announcing that she would be giving away 100 iPhone 17 units. Many netizens admired her generosity, but she also received bashing as netizens pointed out that the giveaway was a front to endorse an online gambling platform.
One of the requirements was that the winner should be following the online gambling company’s social media page. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) slapped the online gambling company with a P1 million fine.
Ivana Alawi explicitly responded to the negative reactions she received, including the legal matters surrounding the issue. She stressed that people should direct their attention to more important issues, like the anomalous flood control projects.
The controversy did not stop the actress from continuing her charitable endeavors. In a recent video she posted on her Facebook page, she announced that this time, she will be giving away 20 motorcycles.
According to Ivana, the winners will be selected from those who follow the Hikari – Main Facebook page. Hikari is a cosmetic brand she is endorsing.
She also mentioned that the motorcycles would be delivered to the winners, regardless of their location.
“Follow nyo na ang Hikari – Main dun tayo mamimili! Kahit saan ka sa pinas ipapadala sayo ang motor kapag napili ka,” she wrote in the comment section of her post.
Prior to this, Ivana Alawi shared a video showing the remaining iPhone 17 units that were not yet given away.
“Tuloy na natin ang iPhone 17 pamigay? May 50+ pcs pa natira,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
It will be recalled that Ivana’s brand-new iPhone 17 giveaway sparked significant controversy because she encouraged people to follow an online gaming platform she was endorsing.
The actress faced a barrage of criticism over this, and even other celebrities weighed in on the issue of endorsing online gambling.
