Leni Robredo’s Foundation Provide Food Packs To Families Affected By Taal Volcano Eruption

TAAL VOLCANO – Vice President Leni Robredo’s foundation, Angat Buhay, provides food packs to families affected by Taal volcano eruption.

The second most active volcano in the Philippines, Taal volcano erupts belching steam, small rocks, and ash to nearby towns. The natural disaster affected the people and animals living within the vicinity.

Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) has ordered the residents and tourists in Batangas, Tagaytay, and Cavite to leave because the eruption will be followed by a swarm of earthquakes. The agency has evacuated 6,000 residents from the danger zone.

Yesterday, a netizen shared a heartbreaking photo of a family from Talisay, Batangas evacuating. All of them were covered with ashfall. In the caption, the netizen said there are still lots of families or individuals who are waiting to be transported in a safer place.

Also, the photos of the town near Taal volcano’s crater lake went viral on social media. The houses and roads are filled now looked grey and lifeless.

Recently, the foundation of Vice President Leni Robredo, Angat Buhay, prepared food packs for the families affected by the Taal volcano eruption. Photos of her staff packing the relief bags were uploaded on the Facebook page of Office of the VP – Angat Buhay. There are also volunteers from all over Metro Manila who helped them prepare.
