Heartbreaking Photos of Family Evacuating Amid Taal Volcano Eruption

TAAL VOLCANO – Netizens react to the heartbreaking photos of a family evacuating amid Taal volcano eruption.

On Sunday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the Taal volcano has erupted and released ashfall to nearby towns. It is the second most active volcano in the Philippines.

Due to the presence of heavy ashfall, the flights at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were canceled. The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) has ordered the 6K residents to leave their houses.

Agoncillo town was covered with ashfall and has turned into a “desert.” Lots of netizens were left brokenhearted after seeing the phots of the town near Taal volcano’s crater lake.

In a previous article, photos of a building rooftop in Mandaluyong went viral on social media. It can be seen on the photos that the roof deck was also covered with thick layers of gray ashfall.

Recently, a Facebook user named Ian Samonte shared a few photos of a family from Talisay, Batangas taking temporary shelter in evacuation centers in Tanauan Lipa. All of them were covered with ashfall.

Based on his caption, the family went into a panic after they hear the explosion around 12 pm. He said there are still lots of families or individuals who are waiting for a service vehicle to transport them to evacuation sites. He penned the emergency hotline in Talisay.
