Kris Aquino Responds To Comment That She’s Turning Irrelevant
KRIS AQUINO – One of the most iconic celebrities in Philippine showbiz recently received a comment that she was starting to become irrelevant.
Kris has been part of the industry for decades. She has been a host, an actress, and one of showbiz’ premiere endorsers.
But, is that all in the past? One netizen from Instagram seems to think so as he commented on a recent post of Kris.
The Instagram user gemhire had this to say:
I hope you can still gain your former status as the country’s premiere endorser. It seems like you are slowly fading into the shadow of irrelevance. Don’t get me wrong. Magpasabog ka ulit madam
Afterward, Kris didn’t hesitate and replied directly to the comment. She even said that she was “pretty chill” about becoming “irrelevant”.
The actress added that the price to pay fighting to stay relevant wasn’t worth her health or peace of mind. With this, it seemed like she was choosing to prioritize herself rather than her “image”.
She said that a lot of people told her she had enough (in the material sense) and that her sons are in no danger of getting hungry. However, Kris added that she was working so hard to protect something much less important, her ego.
She cited that she was working day in and day out when she should’ve listened to her body. “Protecting work commitments meant more than prioritizing my wellness“, Kris added.
Then, with regard to the “pasabog” part of the comment, Kris stated that there is none of that coming soon. “I have outgrown that“, said Kris.
