President Lucio Tan Jr Passes Away At 52
PRESIDENT LUCIO TAN JR – President Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr. passes away at the age of 52 just two days after collapse due to brain herniation.
Newly-appointed PAL Holdings, Inc. President Lucio “Bong” Tan, Jr. collapsed two days ago, Saturday, during a basketball game in Mandaluyong City. Tan family released statement that he was in stable condition after he was rushed to the nearest hospital.
And just this morning, according to a Twitter post from The Philippine Star, he has passed away due to brain herniation at the age of 52.
Bong Tan is a known basketball lover who reintroduced Tanduay into the Filipinos’ basketball consciousness when the team he formed joined the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) in 1995.
He is the son and namesake of tycoon billionaire Lucio Tan Sr. and died Monday morning after he fell unconscious in the middle of the game during the Pinoyliga Cup finals at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong on Saturday.
