Feud Between Sisters Gretchen and Marjorie Barretto Elicits Reaction from Boy Abunda
BOY ABUNDA – Kapamilya talk show host Boy Abunda reacted to the feud between celebrity sisters Gretchen Barretto and Marjorie Barretto.
Recently, the Barretto sisters feud took the social media platforms by storm. It was after a tension sparked between Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine at the wake of their late father, Miguel Barretto.
Miguel Barretto died on October 15, after more than two (2) weeks of being confined at St. Luke’s Medical Center. He was admitted for several days at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The family and friends of the Barretto patriarch were left in grief by his passing. After several years due to a rough patch, former actress Gretchen Barretto reached out to her family by going to her late dad’s wake.
Gretchen’s visit to the wake of their late father did not sit well with Marjorie. According to the latter, she prefers her sister making her reconciliation while their father was still alive at the hospital and in private.
The intense scenario at the wake of Miguel Barretto which have different versions from the members of his family was followed by Gretchen and Marjorie attacking each other. They got negative claims against each other.
The feud between Gretchen Barretto and Marjorie Barretto elicited reactions from people. One of the celebrities who spoke his side is Kapamilya talk show host Boy Abunda.
Based on a report on Pep, Boy is sad over the feud of the Barretto sisters. He stressed that everyone should be reminded that the issues are because of their great love for each other.
“Alalahanin niyo lang na ang pinanggalingan nito, lalo na si Marjorie at Gretchen, they’re coming from a relationship of love. They were close to each other sa mga magkakapatid,” he expressed.
According to Boy, he and Gretchen have not seen and talked lengthily for years but she will always be a part of him. They have worked together in the GMA-7 talk show Show and & Tell and they are best friends.
“She [Gretchen] will always be important to me and always be a part of my life. Nalulungkot ako, nalulungkot talaga ako. Marjorie is also a friend,” he said based on the report.
Boy Abunda is hoping and praying that Gretchen Barretto and Marjorie Barretto will one day find their love for each other. According to him, sometimes, reconciliation is fast between other people while it takes years between another people.
“Sometimes, it takes two years for others, ten years for others. Sometimes, it’s a lifetime. But you will not take it away from me to pray and hope na maayos,” the talk show host expressed.
