Duterte Lifts Ban on PCSO KENO & Scratch-It Games

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that the KENO and instant sweepstakes (scratch-it) resumes on Saturday (September 28).

Last July 2019, President Rodrigo Duterte declared PCSO gaming activities as illegal and ordered the suspension of all gaming activities. Mr. Duterte made the suspension due to the alleged massive corruption in the agency.

After a few days, Duterte lifted the suspension of lotto operations in the Philippines but sets several conditions before lifting the suspensions of the gaming schemes such as Lotto and Small Town Lottery.

Recently, PCSO issued a notice on their Facebook page informing the public that the Keno game and instant sweepstakes (scratch-it) resume effective on Saturday. The announcement came after President Duterte lifts the suspension.

The agency explained that the move is based on the pursuant to the directive of President Duterte. Ticket sale and draw for the following games resumes today (September 28) after a two-month suspension.

Players could spend a minimum amount of P12 to play Keno Lotto Express and could win as much as ₱1 million. Instant Sweepstakes involved scratching a ticket to reveal a winning patters and could win up to P500,000.
