Mariko Ledesma Decides To Back Out From TNT Finals Following Criticism
MARIKO LEDESMA – The Tawag ng Tanghalan Finalist made a Facebook post which said that the singer would quit TNT due to depression caused by backlash from the show’s fans.
She started the post by thanking all the people that believed in her and gave her support. Mariko then said that her decision to quit was hard.
However, she said that it would be harder for her to continue TNT when she’s suffering from depression. “Opo Depression po.. after po ng Laban ko kay mariane samut saring pangbabatikos po ang inabot ko”.
Afterwards, she said that the bashing she received were too personal. Mariko stated that she was bashed from PM’s (private messages), DM’s (direct messages), and even texts.
She then pleaded the critics to stop the bashing. Mariko added that we’re all just human and others don’t know the effects of their words.
“Naway maging malawak po sana ang isip naging lahat na sa isang kompetisyon May mananalo at may matatalo”. She then said that she hopes people would still support the grand finalists in TNT.
In the Facebook post, she then thanked Showtime for fully supporting her decision. Afterwards, Mariko said that she was grateful for the show.
Fans of the singer gave their support in the comments section. They all showed their overwhelming love to their favorite contestant.
