PAGASA – Monsoon To Bring Rains Over Capital, Luzon (September 19)

PAGASA – Weather state bureau PAGASA recently said that the habagat will bring rain over parts of Luzon and Manila on Thursday.

The bureau‘s weather specialist Gener Quitlong said that the monsoon still prevail over the Central luzon and the regions of southern Luzon.

According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the following area will face light to moderate rains:

  • Metro Manila
  • Bataan
  • Bulacan
  • Rizal
  • Quezon
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Tarlac
  • Cavite
  • Pampanga
  • Zambales

Tropical depression Nimfa, on the other hand, was last seen at approximately 758 kilometers east northeast of the municipality of Basco, Batanes.

Nimfa is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 70 kilometers per hour.

As per the report, the tropical depression is expected to leave the country’s Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday (September 21).

Quitlong further added that meanwhile, the low pressure area (LPA) spotted in Tarlac, which was predicted to merge with tropical depression Nimfa, was dissolved last Wednesday night.
