A report from Inquirer states that the transportation bureau had an official meeting with a Moroccan official on September 4 to 5 at the Direction Generale de l’Aviation Civile in the capital city of Rabat in Morocco. They then sealed the ASA or the air services agreement.

The bureau further said that this will make a path for the two nation’s air carriers in order to mount daily flights to and from each other’s territory.

This will lead to more increase in tourism and human exchanges between Philippines and Morocco. The deal will also boost economic and social relations.

As per the report, the two authorities also signed a memorandum of understanding which gives them the full third and fourth freedom traffic rights for both passenger and cargo. This will also set out operational details for their respective designated carriers.

The bureau lastly added that this is, by far, the seventh deal of the Philippines in the African region.
