Ricky Reyes takes his stand on the transgender-CR issue
Famous hairdresser Ricky Reyes expressed his stand regarding the transgender-CR issue which became a national issue because of Gretchen Diez.
This issue created a loud buzz on social media when Diez, a transgender woman, surfaced claiming the discrimination that she experienced from a lady guard who did not let her use the comfort room for women.
Amid the issue, several prominent personalities have expressed their sides about this, especially those who are members of the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) community. Talent manager and comedian Ogie Diaz said that members of the LGBTQ community should be allowed to choose where CR they are comfortable to use but they must also respect other users.
Singer Jake Zyrus, who is formerly known as Charice simply said that people should follow the law when asked about the issue. Meanwhile, comedian-host Vice Ganda slammed the statement of Senate President Tito Sotto that transwomen will never be treated as women.
In line with the transgender-CR issue, Ricky Reyes also expressed his thoughts. He said that this “kabaklaan” should be stopped. “Nirerespeto kita bilang bading pero lumugar ka sa tamang lugar.” the hairdresser said.
He stressed out that even transgender women still has gay mindset. “Ang bakla, ay bakla, gilingin ‘nyo man yan, ang labas nyan baklang-hamburger,” Ricky added.
When asked about same-sex marriage, he said that he is totally against it. The hairdresser reiterated that marriage is just for men and women. He added that allowing the members of the LGBTQ community to get married is against religion.
