Claudine Barretto Seemingly Can’t Adopt A Child w/out Estranged Husband Raymart Santiago
CLAUDINE BARRETTO – A legal counsel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said that Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago should adopt together as a married couple.
Actress Claudine Barretto is tagged as the Philippines’ Angelina Jolie. It is because she has opened her home to several kids by adopting them as her own and being their mother.
The eldest of the actress, Sabina Barretto Santiago, is her adoptive daughter. She has a son, Santino, her biological son with her estranged husband Raymart Santiago.
After Claudine and Raymart separated, the actress welcomed another little girl into her family. She named him Quia. A lot of people praise the actress for being so kindhearted to the little ones.
Recently, the members of the online community were once again in awe after Claudine Barretto introduced her new son Noah Joaquin. The actress even stated that she is now complete as a mother.
However, based on a report on Pep citing the information they got from their Cabinet Files, only Sabina is allegedly legally adopted by Claudine. Quia and Noah Joaquin who were adopted after her separation with Raymart are under different adoptive mothers.
According to the report, a legal counsel of DSWD expressed that Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago must adopt together as they are still married. Also, the lawyer expressed that if the annulment is ongoing, the Department usually does not affirm to adoption cases.
“Kailangan, silang dalawa [Claudine and Raymart] ang mag-adopt basta married. In case na may ongoing annulment, usually, hindi pumapayag ang DSWD… dahil hindi stable ang relationship ng mag-asawa,” the lawyer said.
Based on the report, Quia is allegedly under Mirasol Acap as the adoptive mother. She is the personal assistant of Claudine while Noah is under a certain Cristina San Andres.
