Duterte Meets Action-Film Superstar Jackie Chan In Beijing, China
DUTERTE – The president of the Republic of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, meet the Kung Fu superstar Jackie Chan in Beijing, China.
Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is currently in China for his 4-day working visit. It is his 5th to China and 8th meeting with President Xi Jinping.
In a previous article, the owner of the Chinese vessel who ‘accidentally’ sink the Filipino boat sent a letter of apology hours before Duterte left the country. Palace accepted the apology of the Chinese in the Recto Bank incident.
During President Rodrigo Duterte’s trip to China, he also met the global superstar Jackie Chan. The photos of their meeting went viral on social media.
The Chinese action star is known for his unique blend of impressive martial arts and comedic moves. His hit movies include “Drunken Master,” “Rush Hour,” “The Karate Kid,” and “Shanghai Noon” among others.
Jackie Chan and President Rodrigo Duterte had a short meeting and posed for photos. The actor has a charity foundation and the Filipino politician agreed to join him in Southeast Asia events.
Based on a report from GMA News, the 65-year-old actor gave the politician a jacket, his own book and a panda stuffed toy with a UNICEF seal. Duterte’s former aide Senator Bong Go shared lots of pictures during their working visit in Beijing. He took selfies with the superstar and the Chinese President.
In the caption of the post, he wrote: “Kasama ni Tatay digong at kuya Bong Go si President Xi at Jacky Chan.
