UNICEF Named Anne Curtis, Daphne Oseña-Paez As Ambassadors

ANNE CURTIS – The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) named Anne Curtis and Daphne Oseña-Paez as national goodwill ambassadors.

One of the great honors anyone could ever have is to be an ambassador for the youth. A lot of people could attest to the joy and fulfillment in supporting and promoting the rights of the children.

Among the Filipino celebrities who are active advocates of children’s rights are Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis and TV personality Daphne Oseña-Paez. They were recently named as UNICEF national goodwill ambassadors.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it was starting 2009 when Anne became a major donor of UNICEF while Daphne became an advocate since 2010.

In 2014, the Kapamilya actress was appointed as the celebrity advocate of the children’s agency of United Nations. She went to Leyte and Samar when the Super Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News, both Anne Curtis and Daphne Osena-Paez are vocal of their gratitude for being named as the national goodwill ambassadors of the UNICEF.

According to the Kapamilya actress, her heart is full but she knows that “it comes with a lot of commitment and dedication” and that is what she is determined to do.

Anne Curtis admitted that she is now very excited to work on health programs for the adolescence this time. According to her, she will be focusing on those approaching adulthood this time.

Based on the report, on the part of Daphne Oseña-Paez, being named as a UNICEF ambassador made her look back to how she started with the children’s agency.

Daphne finds it amazing how her advocacy nine years ago led her to many valuable programs that give meaning to her life.

“It gives meaning to my life. In a way I have come full circle in my professional life,” she said.
