In an article “Forbidden Places“, the North Sentinel Island where the people called Sentinelese are found, is one of the places in the world where people are prohibited to visit. This tribe is considered as the most dangerous on Earth because of their aggressiveness when strangers or outsiders go into their place and among the last uncontacted tribes in the world. With this, here are some horrific encounters some people have in trying to get near to them:

  1. British Empire tried to befriend this aggressive tribe using then their protocol and that is to kidnap one of the members and shower it with gifts and generosity then free the captive shortly. And explorer Maurice Vidal Portman did the same with an elderly couple who needs help with two children. However, the two elderly died due to some illness. They showered the children with gifts and freed them without the couple. However, after this, the tribe just became more hostile and unfriendly to the outsiders.
  2. Some crew from the National Geographic tried to reach the island for a documentary with some gifts with them only to be welcomed with spears and arrows. One crew got shot with an arrow in the leg and witnesses claim that the one who did it laughed proudly along with his tribesmen. Their boat retreated and their gifts wasn’t appreciated and accepted.
  3. The Primrose, a ship, accidentally got near the shore of The Sentinel Island boarding 28 sailors who were unaware of where they got their ship into. Their ship is far from sinking but due to the storm, it was impossible for them to sail and they got stranded. They were as well welcomed one morning with spears and arrows and got alarmed immediately. They asked for weapons but due to the storm, there is no way they can be sent with these. Their situation worsened the other day as Sentinelese started to build boats to attack them but can’t sail through as well because of the weather. It was almost one week when they were rescued by a helicopter and similar to what happened to them, amid the rescuing, the Sentinelese threw their weapons at it in an attempt to drive it off according to Big Think.
