Kris Aquino on ‘Kampon’ Pull-Out from MMFF
KRIS AQUINO – ‘Horror Queen’ Kris Aquino expressed her disappointment on “Kampon” being removed from the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry.
Filipina actress gameshow host and socialite, Kris Aquino is considered one of the famous celebrities in the entertainment industry. Bimby and Joshua Aquino’s mother is tagged as the ‘Queen of All Media.’
The 48-year-old actress previously announced that she’ll be starring in a horror movie. Her youngest son Bimby reacted after learning that she has to do a love scene on the film.
Kris Aquino’s son allowed her to do the scene in exchange for new Xbox games. “Bilhan ko lang daw siya ng 20 games for the Xbox and then I get to do a love scene,” she said.
The prominent actress is obviously excited for her movie comeback which is also an entry for MMFF. However, she recently shared some sad news on her Instagram account regarding her upcoming movie.
Kris Aquino announced through social media that her horror movie “Kampon” is canceled. Her movie didn’t push through due to its late casting change. It is against the rules of the organization.
“Pinalako ako to abide by the rules… So unfortunately, my return to horror was not meant to be for MMFF 2019,” she told her followers.
The actress said the executive committee of the organization denied their request to change the lead actor of the film. On August 2, Derek Ramsay back out of the project because he had to prioritized his contract with the Kapuso network. Actor Gabby Concepcion agreed to be his replacement.
Kris Aquino admitted that she’s sad that her movie come back didn’t pursue but she said her two sons lift her mood and made her look forward to better days.
