PAGASA – Southwest Monsoon To Affect Northern And Central Luzon

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that a southwest monsoon will affect the west areas of Northern and Central Luzon on Friday.

According to GMA News, the following areas will have cloudy skies with isolated showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon:

  • Ilocos Region
  • Cordillera AdministrativeRegion (CAR)
  • Batanes
  • Babuyan Group of Islands

On the other hand, Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the Philippines will face from partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain due to localized thunderstorms.

As per the report, the bureau further gave alert to possible flash floods or landslides that will happen in these intense thunderstorms.

In Luzon, the reported wind speed will be moderate to strong coming from the southwest and coastal water conditions will be from moderate to rough.

The wind speed for the rest of Philippines will be light to moderate and will move from south to southwest and coastal water will be from slight to moderate.
