Here’s the official statement of GMA over Eddie Garcia death.
EDDIE GARCIA DEATH – The veteran actor and a legend in the industry Eddie Garcia passed away yesterday afternoon and here’s GMA’s official statement about this.
Last June 8, the country got bothered upon seeing the pale veteran actor Eddie Garcia being rush to the hospital after he fell unconscious following an accident that had happened during the shooting of “Rosang Agimat” under the GMA network.
Suffering neck fracture, he fell into a deep sleep, in a comatose state, and had been independent to life support and medications to maintain blood pressure. Later on, a medical bulletin from his attending physician announced that he only had minimal brain activity.
And now, roughly two weeks after, the veteran actor went away which saddened a lot of people and leaving the whole country mourning for another great loss – another legend from the entertainment industry passed away.
With this such devastating news, netizens blamed the GMA network over their alleged “negligence”. Here is the network’s official statement after the actor got into an accident under their management which apparently took his life.

GMA Network deeply mourns the passing of veteran actor Eduardo “Eddie” Verchez Garcia. “Manoy,” as he is fondly called, will be greatly missed by his family, loved ones, co-workers, and fans.
An accomplished and respected actor and director, he was a movie icon and an industry pillar who has touched so many lives in the Philippine entertainment industry. He left behind a legacy of professionalism, dedication, and love for his craft.
The Kapuso Network joins his family and the whole entertainment industry in mourning his passing.
