Vice Ganda has this joke on the issue about ABS-CBN franchise renewal
Kapamilya comedian-host Vice Ganda joked about the ABS-CBN franchise issue during the January 19 episode of It’s Showtime.
The issue about the renewal of the franchise of the Kapamilya network gained higher level of popularity when PAGCOR official Jimmy Bondoc posted about his excitement to witness the closure of the biggest TV network.
Kapamilya stars came to the rescue to defend their mother studio. Celebrities, as well as the network’s executives expressed support to ABS-CBN.
The social media discussion lasted for several days as Jimmy continues to reiterate his point. Apparently, the decision of the Congress to freeze the bill seeking the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN elated the official.
Amid this seriousness in the franchise issue, Vice Ganda blew a light comment about this.
Based on the report from PEP, on Wednesday’s episode of It’s Showtime, during the KapareWho segment, Vice and Vhong Navarro was talking about anti-fencing law which prohibits the selling of stolen items.
The comedian-host showed that he has a knowledge about the law and Vhong commented that he should have ran last election.
Vice answered, “Ay, naku, may balak ako, antayin niyo ako, President agad.”
“Sabi ni Digong [President Rodrigo Duterte] sa akin, ‘Pagkatapos ko ,ikaw magiging Presidente. Ako bahala.'” he added.
Then, Ryan Bang asked, “President ng Pilipinas?” and Vice jokingly answered, “Oo, presidente agad.”
Following this, the comedian-host stated: “Siyempre ‘no, di nga tayo alam kung mari-renew, so magpi-presidente agad.”
