A scene in Hintayan ng Langit reflected the situation now of Eddie Garcia
Veteran actor Eddie Garcia did a movie last year titled Hintayan ng Langit and viewers saw one of his scenes that reflected his current situation.
In the movie, Eddie was also comatose just like what happened to him when an accident happened during his taping for Kapuso series Rosang Agimat.
Initial reports stated that he had a heart attack but it was clarified that he fell unconscious when he tripped on a cable wire.
His movie with veteran actress Gina Pareno was released last year. However, it was not as popular as it is now. After the accident, Hintayan ng Langit was streamed on Netflix.
When the online community saw the movie, many felt “kilabot” as the current situation of Eddie Garcia was reflected by his character in the movie, based on the report from PEP.
He played the character of Manolo who was also comatose. When Manolo died he reunited with his ex-girlfriend in the place called “The Middle”.
According to the report, the movie received praises from the viewers because of the superb acting of Eddie and Gina.
Because of this movie, award-giving bodies noticed the performance of the veteran actor.
Eddie won the best actor award at the 2018 QCinema International Film Festival while he was nominated in the best actor category at 42nd Gawad Urian ng Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
Based on the report, the awards night for Gawad Urian will be held on June 18 at the UPFi Film Center. Will Eddie Garcia get another best actor trophy?
