Amid this issue, they received another blow when the Congress froze the bill seeking to renew their franchise to continue their operations.
One major factor of this is the vocal criticism coming from President Rodrigo Duterte against the TV network.
Based on the report from Pang-Masa, representatives do not see the point of spending time to pass the bill if the Chief Executive will not sign it.

RA 4349 intends to extend the franchise of ABS-CBN for another 25 years. The franchise of almost all TV networks in the Philippines were already extended except the Kapamilya network.
However, based on the report, the giant media company appeared to be not so worried about this problem.
One option that the network will do is to transfer to another channel. ZOE TV-Channel 11 already ended its collaboration with GMA 7 which already used its former UHF frequency Channel 27 for its GMA News TV.
ZOE TV has its own franchise which could mean a possible collaboration with the Kapamilya network.

In addition, the mainstream TV network is also strengthening its online feeds. Based on the report, it is already working on the live streaming and producing program materials which they could sell to other networks.
These are possibilities if ABS-CBN could no longer have its franchise. However, there is another scenario on this issue. According to the report, if the franchise renewal will fail, allegedly a big company will come into the scene and will ask for a broadcast franchise.
